Gratitude as a way of Life

To express gratitude isn’t, or at-least shouldn’t be, a task on a to-do list. Saying thank you is great, but living thank you is a whole other level. Gratitude is a way of life and it enhances your quality of life. You can genuinely feel the blessing you experience. Although you may choose to set up formal times to express it, you actually live it throughout your day.

Social Benefits

When you live this way, it can rub off on others too. Who do you enjoy spending more time with, the complainers, who never have it good? or the grateful who are upbeat and somehow find something positive most of the time?

Wouldn’t it be nice to be a person who it’s pleasant to be around?

Enriching Experiences

When you start showing appreciation, you start noticing more of the good. Gratitude is like a key. It unlocks your ability to experience more things to be grateful for.

Whether life actually gets better is a topic for another discussion. But one thing is for sure, when your focus is on what to be grateful for, you’ll find the it more often.

Emotional Regulation

When you condition your mind to find the good, you can fret less over the stuff that throws you off balance because you have a lot to offset it with. Yeah, the cashier was mean but then you focus on the actual purchase and are grateful for that and choose to feel the gratitude rather than dwell in misery – because you now get more pleasure and energy out of the positive memories.

At Wellington Estates, “our mission and passion is to ensure that our seniors are pampered with whatever it takes to make them happy and comfortable.” One attitude that can help them get there quickly is gratitude.
